The Tanys Quesnel Living Learning Centre

is a drop-in computer lab, managed by ATN, that provides opportunities for individuals to learn about assistive technology and explore the value of computers in their lives.  Both assistive technology software and hardware are available for computers including:  17” screens, laser mice, adjustable height computer desks and ergonomic lumbar-support chairs. Joysticks and roller balls are available for persons with reduced manual dexterity or range of motion. Clients use a range of software that includes Microsoft Office, touch-typing tutor, and a Hallmark Card Studio program. Stimulating educational software gives many clients a valuable addition to their daily routines. Client independence is a prime concern of the staff at TQLLC where they encourage and assist their clients to achieve attainable goals and to become self-reliant.
